করোনার প্রকোপ বৃদ্ধি প্রেক্ষিতে দেশে চলমান এক সপ্তাহের বিধি-নিষেধ আজ (রবিবার) রাত ১১টায় শেষ হচ্ছে। তবে সোমবার ও পরদিন মঙ্গলবারও এর ধারাবাহিকতা চলবে বলে জানিয়েছেন সড়ক পরিবহন ও সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের।
রবিবার সকালে সংসদ ভবনের বাসভবনে সংবাদ সংম্মেলনে তিনি এ কথা জানান।
গত ৫ এপ্রিল সারাদেশে এক সপ্তাহের বিধি-নিষেধ জারি করে সরকার। তবে পরে জনগণের অসুবিধা বিবেচনা করে বিভাগীয় শহরে গণপরিবহন চলাচলের অনুমতি দেয়া হয়। এক পর্যায়ে স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে ৯টা থেকে৫টা পর্যন্ত শপিং মল খোলারও অনুমতি মেলে। তবে দূরপাল্লার যানবাহন যথারীতি বন্ধ রয়েছে।
এদিকে আগামী ১৪ এপ্রিল থেকে দেশব্যাপী কঠোর লকডাউন ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। কিন্তু মাঝ খানে ১২ ও ১৩ এপ্রিল কী হবে, তা নিয়ে জনমনে প্রশ্ন ছিল।
