ইসরায়েল-যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সঙ্গে ইরানের যুদ্ধ শুরুর পর চট্টগ্রামের শাহ আমানত আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের ১০০টি ফ্লাইট বাতিল হয়েছে।
বিমানবন্দরের জনসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা প্রকৌশলী মোহাম্মদ ইব্রাহিম খলিল জানান, গত ২৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি থেকে ১১ মার্চ রাত পর্যন্ত এসব ফ্লাইট বাতিল হয়েছে।
তিনি জানান, মধ্যপ্রাচ্যে চলমান যুদ্ধাবস্থার প্রেক্ষিতে দুবাই, আবুধাবি, শারজাহ ও দোহার এয়ারফিল্ড সীমিত পরিসরে বন্ধ রয়েছে। তাই বুধবার (১১ মার্চ) ৫টি ফ্লাইট বাতিল হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইনসের দুবাই থেকে আসা ২টি অ্যারাইভাল ফ্লাইট ও ২টি ডিপার্চার ফ্লাইট এবং ইউএস-বাংলা এয়ারলাইনসের মধ্যপ্রাচ্যগামী ১টি ডিপার্চার ফ্লাইট রয়েছে। বিভিন্ন এয়ারলাইনসের যাত্রীবাহী মধ্যপ্রাচ্য থেকে আসা ৮টি অ্যারাইভাল ফ্লাইট ও ৫টি ডিপার্চার ফ্লাইট বুধবার সচল ছিল।
তিনি আরও জানান, বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইনস, এয়ার আরাবিয়া ও ইউএস-বাংলা এয়ারলাইনসের শারজাহ, দুবাই, আবুধাবি থেকে চট্টগ্রামের ফ্লাইটগুলো অনেকটা স্বাভাবিক হতে শুরু করেছে।
