মিয়ানমারে ক্ষমতা দখলের পর গণতন্ত্রপন্থি বিক্ষোভে গুলি চালিয়ে ও বিভিন্ন স্থানে অভিযানে সাত শতাধিক মানুষকে হত্যা করেছে সামরিক জান্তা। গত শুক্র ও শনিবার বিভিন্ন স্থানে নিরাপত্তাবাহিনীর অভিযানে অন্তত ৮২ জন নিহত হয়েছেন।
চ্যারিটি ফর পলিটিকাল প্রিজনারস এর একটি দৈনিক প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, নিরাপত্তাবাহিনীর সঙ্গে বিভিন্ন স্থানে সাধারণ মানুষের সংঘর্ষে নতুন এই হতাহতের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। খবর আনাদুলু এজেন্সির।
ওই প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়েছে, এখন পর্যন্ত ৩ হাজার ১২ জনকে কারাবন্দি করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া ৬৫৬ জনের বিরুদ্ধে গ্রেপ্তারি পরোয়ানা জারি করা হয়েছে। যারা সামরিক অভ্যুত্থানের বিরুদ্ধে অবস্থান নিয়েছেন।
ওই সংস্থা জানিয়েছে, বাগো অঞ্চলে শুক্রবার ৮২ জনকে হত্যা করেছে নিরাপত্তাবাহিনী।
গত নভেম্বরের নির্বাচনে কারচুপির অভিযোগ এনে ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি ক্ষমতা দখল করে মিয়ানমারের সেনাবাহিনী। এসময় প্রেসিডেন্ট উইন্ট মিন্ট ও ক্ষমতাসীন দল এনএলডি নেত্রী অং সান সু চিসহ শীর্ষ রাজনীতিবিদদের গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়।
দেশটিতে এক বছরের জরুরি অবস্থা জারি করেছে সামরিক জান্তা। তারা দুই বছরের মধ্যে সুষ্ঠু নির্বাচনের মাধ্যমে বিজয়ীদের হাতে ক্ষমতা হস্তান্তরের প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছে। তবে সাধারণ মানুষ সামরিক সরকারের প্রতিশ্রুতি ও হুঁশিয়ারি উপেক্ষা করে রাস্তায় নেমে বিক্ষোভ করছে। সেখানেই পাখির মতো গুলি ছুড়ছে নিরাপত্তাবাহিনী।
