গণপরিবহনের পর দোকানপাট ও শপিংমল খুলে দেয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে সরকার। আগামীকাল শুক্রবার সকাল ৯টা থেকে বিকাল ৫টা পর্যন্ত স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে দোকান ও শপিংমল খোলা রাখার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ থেকে এ সংক্রান্ত একটি প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করা হয়েছে।
প্রজ্ঞাপনে স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে দোকান না খুললে কঠোর ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হবে বলে বলা হয়েছে। ১৩ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত এই সিদ্ধান্ত চলবে।
দেশে করোনাভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ উদ্বেগজনক পর্যায়ে পৌঁছে যাওয়ায় ১৮ দফা নির্দেশনা জারি করে সরকার। গত সোমবার থেকে শুরু হওয়া এই বিধিনিষেধে সাতদিন সব ধরনের জনসমাগম সীমিত করা, মার্কেট ও শপিংমল বন্ধের কথাও বলা হয়।
সরকারের এমন সিদ্ধান্তের পর লকডাউন তুলে নিয়ে মার্কেট খুলে দেওয়ার দাবিতে সারাদেশে বিক্ষোভ করেন ব্যবসায়ীরা। নিউমার্কেট এলাকাসহ রাজধানীর বেশ কয়েকটি এলাকাতেও শপিংমল খোলার দাবিতে কয়েকদিন ধরেই বিক্ষোভ হয়। ব্যবসায়ীদের দাবির মধ্যে শুক্রবার থেকে দৈনিক ৮ ঘণ্টা শপিংমল খোলা রাখার ব্যাপারে সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয় সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে।
