জাতির জনক বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের জন্মশতবার্ষিকী উদ্যাপন উপলক্ষে আগামী বুধবার (১৭ মার্চ) সারা দেশে বিপণিবিতান বা মার্কেট ও দোকান বন্ধ রাখার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ দোকান মালিক সমিতি।
গত শনিবার অনুষ্ঠিত সংগঠনের এক সভায় এ সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছে বলে রবিবার এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়।
বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে আরও বলা হয়, সম্ভব হলে ওই দিন মার্কেটগুলোতে আলোকসজ্জা করার জন্য দোকানমালিকদের অনুরোধ জানিয়েছেন দোকান মালিক সমিতির সভাপতি মো. হেলাল উদ্দিন ও মহাসচিব জহিরুল হক ভূঁইয়া।
দোকান মালিক সমিতির এ সভায় সংগঠনের সভাপতি ও মহাসচিব ছাড়াও সভায় এফবিসিসিসিআই পরিচালক আব্দুর রাজ্জাক, আবু মোতালেব ও হাফেজ হারুন এবং বিভিন্ন ব্যবসায়ী সংগঠনের নেতা রেজাউল ইসলাম মন্টু, নুরুল ইসলাম, হুমায়ুন কবির আজাদ প্রমুখ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
