বিজ্ঞান ডেস্ক : পৃথিবীর প্রথম হেলিকপ্টার হিসেবে মঙ্গলগ্রহে অবতরণ করেছে ইনজেনুইটি। এখন থেকে মঙ্গলের আকাশে উড়বে ইনজেনুইটি।
এই হেলিকপ্টারটি বহন করছে পারসেভারেন্স নামের একটি রোভার, ৫ম রোভার হিসেবে মঙ্গলের মাটি ছুঁলো এই কপ্টারটি।
দীর্ঘ সাত মাসের যাত্রা শেষে বাংলাদেশ সময় অনুযায়ী বৃহস্পতিবার মধ্যরাতে মঙ্গলগ্রহের লালমাটিতে নেমেছে কপ্টারটি।
মহাকাশ গবেষণা কেন্দ্র নাসার দেয়া তথ্যমতে, যানটির সঙ্গে এঁটে দেয়া ছিল নখের সমান তিনটি মাইক্রোচিপ, যাদের ভেতরে রয়েছে সারা বিশ্বের ১০ কোটি ৯৩ লাখ দুই হাজার ২৯৫ জন মঙ্গলপ্রেমীর নাম।
মঙ্গলে পাঠানো রোভারটির নামকরণের প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নেয়া শীর্ষ ১৫৫ জনের রচনাও জায়গা করে নিয়েছে ওই তিন চিপে।
নাসা জানিয়েছে, প্রাইভেটকার আকারের রোভারটি ফ্লোরিডার কেপ ক্যানাভেরাল বিমানঘাঁটি থেকে উড়ে গিয়েছিল। এখন থেকে লাল মাটির ঐ গ্রহের আকাশেই উড়ে বেড়াবে পৃথিবীর তৈরি ইনজেনুইটি।
