গাজীপুরের শ্রীপুর উপজেলার মুলাইদ এলাকার একটি কেমিক্যাল কারখানায় ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ডের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। বৃহস্পতিবার বিকালে কারখানাটিতে আগুন লাগে। খবর পেয়ে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের সাতটি ইউনিট আগুন নেভানোর চেষ্টা চালাচ্ছে।
গাজীপুর ফায়ার সার্ভিসের উপসহকারী পরিচালক মো. আব্দুল হামিদ মিয়া জানান, বিকালে মুলাইদ এলাকায় একটি কেমিক্যাল কারখানায় আগুন লাগে। খবর পেয়ে শ্রীপুর, জয়দেবপুর ফায়ার সার্ভিসসহ দমকল বাহিনীর মোট সাতটি ইউনিট আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনার চেষ্টা চালাচ্ছেন। আগুনের সূত্রপাত এখনো জানা যায়নি।
আগুনে কী পরিমাণ ক্ষয়ক্ষতি হয়েছে তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে তা জানা যায়নি। আগুন নেভানোর পর ক্ষয়ক্ষতির বিষয়টি ও আগুন লাগার বিষয়টি জানা যাবে।
