উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য বিএনপির স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য ও প্রধানমন্ত্রীর রাজনৈতিক উপদেষ্টা মির্জা আব্বাসকে আজ শুক্রবার সিঙ্গাপুর নেওয়া হচ্ছে। চিকিৎসকদের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী তাকে এয়ার অ্যাম্বুলেন্সে করে বিদেশে নেওয়ার প্রস্তুতি সম্পন্ন করা হয়েছে।
শুক্রবার সকালে বিএনপির মিডিয়া সেলের সদস্য শায়রুল কবির খান বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। তিনি জানান, উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্যই মির্জা আব্বাসকে সিঙ্গাপুরে পাঠানো হচ্ছে।
এর আগে, বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে রাজধানীর এভারকেয়ার হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন মির্জা আব্বাসকে দেখতে যান বিএনপি মহাসচিব ও স্থানীয় সরকার সমবায় মন্ত্রী মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর।
এ সময় তার সঙ্গে ছিলেন বিএনপির স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য ড. আব্দুল মঈন খান এবং বিএনপির স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য ও সমাজকল্যাণ এবং মহিলা ও শিশু বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী অধ্যাপক ডা. এ জেড এম জাহিদ হোসেন।
