বিদেশে পাচার হওয়া অর্থ ফেরত আনার প্রক্রিয়া চলমান থাকবে বলে জানিয়েছেন বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের গভর্নর মুস্তাফুর রহমান। মঙ্গলবার (১০ মার্চ) বিদেশে পাচার হওয়া অর্থ ফেরত আনতে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের গভর্নর মুস্তাফুর রহমানের সঙ্গে দেশের ব্যাংকগুলোর ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালকদের বৈঠক শেষে এ কথা জানানো হয়।
এবিবি চেয়ারম্যান মাসরুর আরেফিন বলেন, পাচার হওয়া অর্থ ফেরত আনতে ল ফার্ম নিয়োগ দিচ্ছে ব্যাংকগুলো। পাশাপাশি আন্তর্জাতিক আদালতে মামলার প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছে তারা।
যেসব ব্যাংকের মাধ্যমে অর্থ পাচারের অভিযোগ রয়েছে, তারা ইতোমধ্যে ৮ থেকে ১০টি আন্তর্জাতিক আইন সংস্থা নিয়োগ দিয়েছে বলেও জানান তিনি।
ব্যাংকাররা জানান, বিদেশে পাচার হওয়া অর্থ ফেরত আসতে তিন থেকে পাঁচ বছর সময় লাগতে পারে। এ ছাড়া সরকার পরিবর্তন হলেও পাচারকৃত অর্থ ফেরত আনার প্রক্রিয়া বন্ধ হবে না।
