স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী সালাহউদ্দিন আহমদ বলেছেন, সংবিধান মেনেই সরকার গঠনসহ অন্যান্য কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা হচ্ছে। জামায়াত আলাদা শপথ নেওয়ার কথা বলেছে, এসব কথা গায়ের জোরে বলছে। আমরা এখানে সংবিধান মেনেই এসেছি, এখনো মানছি, সংবিধান মেনেই সামনে এগিয়ে যাবো।
মঙ্গলবার (১০ মার্চ) সুপ্রিম কোর্ট আইনজীবী সমিতি মিলনায়তনে বাংলাদেশ জাতীয়তাবাদী আইনজীবী ফোরাম আয়োজিত আলোচনা সভা, দোয়া ও ইফতার মাহফিলে তিনি এসব কথা বলেন।
জুলাই সনদকে বিএনপি অস্বীকার করে না জানিয়ে স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী বলেন, জুলাই সনদ ততটুকুই বাস্তবায়ন করা হবে, যতটুকুর রাজনৈতিক সমঝোতা আছে। জবরদস্তিমূলক কোনো কিছুই মানা হবে না। সংবিধান সংস্কার পরিষদের বিষয়ে সংসদ অধিবেশনে সিদ্ধান্ত হবে। সংসদের প্রথম অধিবেশনে ১৩৩টি অধ্যাদেশ উপস্থাপন করা হবে।
