স্পোর্টস ডেস্ক : রোববার (১০ জানুয়ারি) সকাল ১০টা ২৫ মিনিটে হযরত শাহ্জালাল আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে পা রাখে ক্যারিবিয়ানরা। বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ডের (বিসিবি) মিডিয়া ম্যানেজার রাবিদ ইমাম।
বিমানবন্দর থেকে সরাসরি হোটেলে চলে যাবে তারা। হোটেলে সাত দিন কোয়ারেন্টাইনে থাকতে হবে সফরকারী দলকে। যার মধ্যে টানা তিনদিন নিজ নিজ রুমে কোয়ারেন্টাইনে থাকতে হবে। তিনদিন পর নিজেদের মধ্যে অনুশীলন শুরু করতে পারবেন তারা।
যদিও সেখানে অন্য কাউকে যুক্ত করা হবে না। সাতদিন পর অন্যদের সংস্পর্শে যেতে পারবেন খেলোয়াড়রা। তারপর থেকেই বাংলাদেশের নেট বোলারদের নিয়ে সেশন শুরু হবে তাঁদের।
এ সময়ে তিনবার করোনা পরীক্ষা হবে ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ দলের সঙ্গে থাকা সবার। তিনবার নেগেটিভ আসলেই কেবল বাংলাদেশের দেওয়া সব সুযোগ সুবিধা ব্যবহার করে অনুশীলন শুরু করতে পারবেন দলটি।
করোনা শঙ্কা ও ব্যক্তিগত কারণ দেখিয়ে নিজেদের সরিয়ে নিয়েছে ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজের শীর্ষ ১২ ক্রিকেটার। ফলে তারুণ্য নির্ভর দল নিয়েই বাংলাদেশ সফরে আসতে হলো তাঁদের। ওয়ানডে দলের নেতৃত্ব দেবেন জেসন মোহাম্মদ। আর টেস্ট দলের অধিনায়কত্ব করবেন ক্রেইগ ব্রাথওয়েট।
আগামী ২০ জানুয়ারি প্রথম ওয়ানডেতে বাংলাদেশের বিপক্ষে মাঠে নামবে ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ। দ্বিতীয় ও তৃতীয় ওয়ানডে হবে যথাক্রমে ২২ ও ২৫ জানুয়ারি। ওয়ানডে সিরিজ শেষে হবে সাদা পোশাকের লড়াই। ৩ ফেব্রুয়ারি মাঠে গড়াবে সিরিজের প্রথম টেস্ট। দ্বিতীয় ও শেষ টেস্ট হবে ১১ ফেব্রুয়ারি ঢাকায়।
