ইউক্রেনের দক্ষিণাঞ্চলীয় শহর জাপোরিঝিয়া শহরের উপকণ্ঠে বেসামরিক যানবাহনের একটি কনভয়তে রুশ ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র হামলায় কমপক্ষে ২৩ জন নিহত এবং ২৮ জন আহত হয়েছে। আঞ্চলিক গভর্নরের বরাত দিয়ে বার্তা সংস্থা রয়টার্স এক প্রতিবেদনে তথ্যটি জানিয়েছে।
রয়টার্সের এক প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী শহরের বিস্তীর্ণ ওরেখভো গাড়ির বাজারে মৃতদেহ মাটিতে পড়ে থাকতে দেখেছেন বলে নিশ্চিত করেছেন। ক্ষেপণাস্ত্রের আঘাতে গাড়ির লাইনের পাশে মাটিতে গর্ত সৃষ্টি করেছে বলেও তিনি জানিয়েছেন।
জাপোরিঝিয়া আঞ্চলিক গভর্নর ওলেক্সান্ডার স্টারুক টেলিগ্রাম মেসেজিং অ্যাপে লিখেছেন, ‘এখন পর্যন্ত, ২৩ জন মারা গেছে এবং ২৮ জন আহত হয়েছে। তারা সকলেই বেসামরিক নাগরিক।
পুলিশ এবং জরুরী কর্মীরা উদ্ধারকাজের জন্য ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র হামলার ঘটনাস্থলে ছুটে এসেছিলেন।
নাটালিয়া নামে এক মহিলা বলেছেন, তিনি এবং তার স্বামী জাপোরিঝিয়াতে তাদের সন্তানদের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে যাচ্ছিলেন।
