দ্বিতীয়বারের মতো পৃথিবীর কক্ষপথে নিজেদের সামরিক স্যাটেলাইট পাঠিয়েছে ইরান। মঙ্গলবার নূর- ২ নামের স্যাটেলাইটটি কক্ষপথে সফলভাবে পাঠাতে সক্ষম হয়েছে ইরানের ইসলামিক রেভ্যুলুশনারি গার্ড কর্পস (আইজিআরসি)।
ইরানের রাষ্ট্রীয় বার্তা সংস্থা ইরনা জানিয়েছে, আজ নূর-২ উপগ্রহটি উৎক্ষেপণ করা হয়েছে। এটিকে কক্ষপথ পর্যন্ত বহন করেছে ইরানের নিজস্ব প্রযুক্তিতে তৈরি বাহক-রকেট ‘কাসেদ’। ‘কাসেদ’ অর্থ বার্তাবাহক। এটিকে পৃথিবীর কাছাকাছি কক্ষপথে সাফল্যের সঙ্গে স্থাপন করা সম্ভব হয়েছে।
ইরানের প্রথম সামরিক স্যাটেলাইট নূর-১ ২০২০ সালের এপ্রিলে কক্ষপথে পাঠানো হয়। এটি ভূপৃষ্ঠ থেকে ৪২৫ কিলোমিটার উচ্চতায় কক্ষপথ প্রদক্ষিণ করছে। আর নতুন পাঠানো দ্বিতীয় স্যাটেলাইট নূর-২ ভূপৃষ্ঠ থেকে পাঁচশ’ কিলোমিটার উচ্চতায় পৃথিবী প্রদক্ষিণ করবে।
ইরানের প্রথম সামরিক স্যাটেলাইট নূর-১ সঠিকভাবে কাজ করছে বলে জানিয়েছে আইআরজিসি। তারা বলেছে, নূর-১ পৃথিবীতে নিয়মিত ডেটা পাঠাচ্ছে।
ভিয়েনায় ইরানের পরমাণু চুক্তি ফের সক্রিয় করার আলোচনা যখন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পর্যায়ে পৌঁছেছে বলে জানা যাচ্ছে সেই সময়েই কক্ষপথে সামরিক স্যাটেলাইট পাঠানোর ঘোষণা দিয়েছে তেহরান।
কক্ষপথে দ্বিতীয় সামরিক স্যাটেলাইট পাঠানো ইরানের সেনাবাহিনীর বড় অর্জন। তবে এই পদক্ষেপ দেশটির পারমাণবিক ও ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র কর্মসূচি নিয়ে পশ্চিমাদের উদ্বেগ আরও বাড়তে পারে বলে আশঙ্কা করা হচ্ছে।
