পাবনায় স্ত্রীকে কুপিয়ে হত্যার অভিযোগ উঠেছে তার স্বামী তেজেম মোল্লার বিরুদ্ধে। হত্যার পর তার শরীর থেকে হাত-পা বিচ্ছিন্ন করে শ্বশুরবাড়িতে ফোনে জানান তিনি।
মঙ্গলবার ভোর রাতে সদর উপজেলার মালিগাছা ইউনিয়নের ফলিয়া গ্রামে এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
নিহতের নাম হামিদা খাতুন (৩২)। তিনি সদর উপজেলার মালিগাছা ইউনিয়নের ফলিয়া গ্রামের তেজেম মোল্লার স্ত্রী। তার এক ছেলে ও এক মেয়ে রয়েছে।
নিহতের ভাই হামিদুল ইসলাম জানান, তেজেম মোল্লা পরকীয়ায় জড়িয়ে পড়েন। তারই প্রতিবাদ করতো হামিদা খাতুন। এ নিয়ে তাদের মধ্যে প্রায়ই ঝগড়া-বিবাদ লেগে থাকতো।
এরই জেরে মঙ্গলবার ভোররাতে স্ত্রীকে কুপিয়ে হত্যার পর এক হাত ও দুই পা শরীর থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন করে। পরে ফোন দিয়ে তিনি আমার বোনকে হত্যার বিষয়টি জানিয়ে পালিয়ে যায়। আমরা বাড়িতে গিয়ে ঘটনা জানতে পারি এবং পুলিশকে খবর দেই।
পাবনা সদর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) বলেন, খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থল থেকে লাশ উদ্ধার করে ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য পাবনা জেনারেল হাসপাতাল মর্গে পাঠানো হয়েছে। পুরো বিষয়টি খতিয়ে দেখা হচ্ছে। অভিযোগ পেলে আইনগত ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।
