ইরানের সংসদের জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা ও পররাষ্ট্রনীতি বিষয়ক কমিশনের সদস্য শাহরিয়ার হায়দারি বলেছেন, আমেরিকা কখনও আন্তর্জাতিক আইন মেনে চলেনি। তিনি ইরানের বার্তা সংস্থা খনেহ মেল্লাতকে দেয়া এক সাক্ষাৎকারে এ মন্তব্য করেন।
ইরানের ওপর অস্ত্র নিষেধাজ্ঞা আরোপ করার লক্ষ্যে মার্কিন প্রতিনিধি পরিষদে উত্থাপিত বিলের প্রতি ইঙ্গিত করে তিনি বলেন, আমেরিকা সব সময় আন্তর্জাতিক আইন লঙ্ঘন করে বিশ্বের স্বাধীনচেতা দেশগুলোর ওপর চাপ ও হুমকি সৃষ্টি করেছে। হায়দারি বলেন, আত্মরক্ষার স্বার্থে যেকোনো প্রচলিত অস্ত্র তৈরি ও সংরক্ষণ করা বিশ্বের প্রতিটি দেশের অকাট্য অধিকার। কাজেই মার্কিনীরা ইরানের আত্মরক্ষার সে অধিকার কেড়ে নিতে পারে না।
ইরানের সংসদের জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা ও পররাষ্ট্রনীতি বিষয়ক কমিশনের এই সদস্য বলেন, ২০১৫ সালে ছয় বিশ্বশক্তির সঙ্গে ইরানের স্বাক্ষরিত পরমাণু সমঝোতার অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ধারা ছিল তেহরানের ওপর থেকে অস্ত্র নিষেধাজ্ঞা প্রত্যাহার করা হবে। জাতিসংঘের প্রস্তাব অনুযায়ী নির্ধারিত সময়সীমা পার হওয়ার পর ইরানের ওপর থেকে সে নিষেধাজ্ঞা স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে প্রত্যাহার হয়ে গেছে। কাজেই ইরান এখন বিনা বাধায় সমরাস্ত্র আমদানি-রপ্তানি করতে পারবে।
