আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ওবায়দুল কাদের বলেছেন, ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের জীবন বাঁচাতেই সরকার করোনার এই সংকটে বন্ধ রেখেছে শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান। তাদের জীবন যদি না থাকে তাহলে শিক্ষিত হয়ে কী হবে? তাই আগে জীবন বাঁচাতেই সরকার এমন সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে।
শনিবার সকালে রাজধানীর আইডিইবি মিলনায়তনে আয়োজিত এক আলোচনসভায় ভার্চুয়ালি যুক্ত হয়ে তিনি এ কথা বলেন।
জাতীয় শোক দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে ইনস্টিটিউট অব ডিপ্লোমা ইন্জিনিয়ার্স বাংলাদেশ এ অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে।
সরকার ষড়যন্ত্র করে শিক্ষাব্যবস্থাকে পিছিয়ে দিচ্ছে- বিএনপি নেতাদের এমন বক্তব্যকে ‘হাস্যকর’ ও ‘দায়িত্বজ্ঞানহীন’ উল্লেখ করে সেতুমন্ত্রী বলেন, এর আগেও দলটি ভ্যাকসিন নিয়ে ষড়যন্ত্রের গন্ধ খুঁজেছিল।
তিনি বলেন, করোনাকালেও বিএনপির রাজনৈতিক কর্মসূচি একটাই, তা হচ্ছে পালাক্রমে সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে বিষোদগার আর মিথ্যাচার করা। দলটির কৌশল হলো মায়াকান্না আর লিপসার্ভিস।
অন্ধকারে ঢিল না ছুড়ে সরকার কোথায় কী অনিয়ম করছে, বিএনপিকে তা স্পষ্ট করে বলার আহ্বান জানিয়ে আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক বলেন, সবকিছুতে ষড়যন্ত্র খোঁজা দলটির স্বভাবগত বৈশিষ্ট্যে রূপ নিয়েছে।
জনগণের প্রতি দায়িত্বশীলতার কথা ভুলে গিয়ে বিএনপি নেতাদের মুখ দিয়ে অসত্যের প্রলাপ বের হওয়াই স্বাভাবিক বলে মন্তব্য করেন ওবায়দুল কাদের।
