নরসিংদী সদর উপজেলায় মাইক্রোবাস-ট্রাক সংঘর্ষে একই পরিবারের পাঁচজন নিহত হয়েছেন। আহত হয়েছেন আরও সাতজন।
শনিবার দিবাগত রাত সোয়া ১২টার দিকে উপজেলার ঘোড়াশাল-পাঁচদোনা সড়কের সাঁকুড়া মোড়ে এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে।
নিহতরা হলেন- মুক্তি আক্তার ও তার আট বছর বয়সী ছেলে সাদিকুল, রুবি আক্তার ও তার মেয়ে রাহিমা এবং রোকেয়া আক্তার। তারা সম্পর্কে আত্মীয়।
আহতদের মধ্যে শিশু ইসরাত, সামসুন্নাহার, শারমিন, রাজিয়ার নাম জানা গেছে। তাদের নরসিংদী সদর হাসপাতালে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা শেষে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়েছে। হতাহতদের বাড়ি সাভারের আশুলিয়া থানার জিরাবো এলাকায়। তারা সিলেট থেকে পাঁচদোনা মোড় হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরছিলেন বলে জানিয়েছেন নরসিংদীর অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার (অপরাধ) সাহেব আলী পাঠান।
জানা যায়, রাত সোয়া ১২টার দিকে ঘোড়াশালমুখী একটি মাইক্রোবাস সাঁকুড়া মোড়ে পৌঁছালে বিপরীত দিক থেকে আসা একটি ট্রাকের সঙ্গে যানটির মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষ হয়। এতে ঘটনাস্থলেই তিনজন মারা যায়। আহত হন মাইক্রোবাসে থাকা ৯ যাত্রী। তাদের উদ্ধার করে নরসিংদী সদর হাসপাতালে নেয়ার পথে আরও দুইজন মারা যায়। বাকি আহতদের রাতেই ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়েছে। দুর্ঘটনার পর ট্রাকটি জব্দ করলেও এর চালককে ধরতে পারেনি পুলিশ।
