কুয়েত সরকার অনুমোদিত ফাইজার, অক্সফোর্ড, জনসন ও মর্ডার্নার দুই ডোজ টিকা নেওয়া বৈধ আকামাধারী প্রবাসীদের আগামী ১ আগস্ট থেকে দেশটিতে প্রবেশাধিকার দেওয়া হবে। বৃহস্পতিবার (১৭ জুন) দেশটির মন্ত্রী পরিষদের জরুরি এক বৈঠকে এই প্রস্তাব করা হয়।
মন্ত্রী পরিষদের বরাত দিয়ে স্থানীয় গণমাধ্যমগুলো উল্লেখ করে, আগত প্রবাসীদের প্রবেশের ৭২ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে পিসিআর সনদ নিয়ে আসতে হবে। সাতদিন নিজ বাসায় কোয়ারেন্টিনে থাকতে হবে যে পর্যন্ত করোনা নেগেটিভ রিপোর্ট না আসে। যে সকল প্রবসীরা টিকা নেস তারা স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে ভ্রমণ করতে পারবে।
টিকা না নেওয়া ব্যক্তিদের রেষ্টুরেন্ট, জিম সেন্টার, সেলুন ও শপিং মহলসহ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মহলগুলোতে প্রবেশের অনুমতি দেওয়া হবে না। টিকা নেওয়া পর আসা প্রবাসীদের কুয়েত সরকার হোম কোয়ারেন্টিনের নির্দেশনা রয়েছে। ছুটিতে গেলে পিসিআর সনদ ও টিকা নেওয়া প্রবাসীদের প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক কোয়ারেন্টিন বাতিলে করে হোম কোয়ারেন্টিনের দাবি জানান কুয়েত প্রবাসীরা। এ ছাড়া টিকা নেওয়া ছাড়া যে সকল প্রবাসী দেশে যাচ্ছে তাদের কোয়ারেন্টিন খরচ সরকারকে বহনের দাবি করেন।
