মহামারি করোনায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত পল্লী উদ্যোক্তাদের মাঝে এসএমই ঋণ সহায়তা কার্যক্রম শুরু করেছে বাংলাদেশ পল্লী উন্নয়ন বোর্ড (বিআরডিবি)। ঢাকায় বিআরডিবির সদর দপ্তরে এই কার্যক্রম উদ্বোধন করা হয়।
সোমবার বিকালে করোনায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত পল্লী উদ্যোক্তাদের মাঝে প্রধানমন্ত্রী ঘোষিত প্রণোদনা ঋণ বিতরণ উদ্বোধন করেন স্থানীয় সরকার, পল্লী উন্নয়ন ও সমবায় প্রতিমন্ত্রী স্বপন ভট্টাচার্য্য।
বিআরডিবির পক্ষ থেকে পাঠানো সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়, করোনায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের মাঝে ৪ শতাংশ সুদে এ ঋণ বিতরণের জন্য সরকার বিআরডিবিকে ৩০০ কোটি টাকা দিয়েছে। এর মাধ্যমে মাঠ পর্যায়ের পিছিয়ে পড়া ও ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত ক্ষুদ্র উদ্যোক্তারা কিছুটা হলেও ঘুরে দাঁড়াতে পারবে বলে আশা করছেন বিআরডিবির কর্মকর্তারা।
সকল উপজেলা বিআরডিবি অফিস থেকে এ ঋণ বিতরণ করা হবে।
এদিকে সরকারের কাছে আরও বেশি স্বল্প সুদের দুই বছর মেয়াদী এসএমই ঋণের জন্য তহবিল আশা করছেন বিআরডিবির কর্মকর্তারা।
ঋণ বিতরণ কার্যক্রমের উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন পল্লী উন্নয়ন ও সমবায় সচিব মো. রেজাউল আহসান। অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন বাংলাদেশ পল্লী উন্নয়ন বোর্ডের মহাপরিচালক সুপ্রিয় কুমার কুন্ডু।
