কুষ্টিয়ায় দিনেদুপুরে এক নারী ও শিশুসহ তিনজনকে প্রকাশ্যে গুলি করে হত্যা করেছে সন্ত্রাসীরা। রবিবার বেলা ১১টার দিকে শহরের কাস্টমস মোড়ে এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
এ ঘটনায় জড়িত একজনকে পুলিশ আটক করেছে বলে প্রাথমিকভাবে জানা গেছে।
কুষ্টিয়া জেনারেল হাসপাতাল সূত্রে জানা যায়, গুলিবিদ্ধ তিনজনের মধ্যে এক নারী ঘটনাস্থলেই মারা যান। তার বয়স আনুমানিক ৩৫ বছর। অন্যদিকে গুলিবিদ্ধ অবস্থায় অপর এক পুরুষ (৩৫) ও চার বছরের শিশুকে হাসপাতালে আনা হয়। কিছুক্ষণ পর তাদের দুজনের মৃত্যু হয়। তবে নিহতদের পরিচয় পাওয়া যায়নি। স্থানীয়রা ধারণা করছেন, নিহত পুরুষ ও নারী স্বামী-স্ত্রী হতে পারেন। আর শিশুটি তাদের সন্তান।
কুষ্টিয়ার অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে জানান, ঘটনাস্থলে অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ মোতায়েন করা হয়েছে। হামলাকারীকে পুলিশ আটক করেছে।
এদিকে কেন কী কারণে এ তিনজনকে হত্যা করা হয়েছে সে সম্পর্কে কিছুই জানাতে পারেনি পুলিশ।
