মিয়ানমারের একটি সামরিক বিমান বিধ্বস্ত হয়ে ১২ জন নিহত হয়েছেন। এই ঘটনায় আরো ৪ জন আহত হয়েছেন। বিমানটি ১৬ জন যাত্রী নিয়ে দুর্ঘটনার কবলে পড়ে বলে রুশ সংবাদমাধ্যম স্পুটনিক নিশ্চিত করেছে।
বৃহস্পতিবার স্থানীয় সংবাদমাধ্যমের খবরে বলা হয়েছে, সামরিক বিমানটি দেশটির মান্দালয় অঞ্চলের একটি পাহাড়ি এলাকায় বিধ্বস্ত হয়।
রয়টার্সের খবরে বলা হয়েছে, বিমানটিতে ঊর্ধ্বতন সামরিক কর্মকর্তারা ছিলেন বলে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে। উদ্ধারকারী দল ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছেছে। তবে এখন পর্যন্ত বিস্তারিত তথ্য পাওয়া যায়নি।
চলতি বছর ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি ক্ষমতা দখল করে মিয়ানমারের সেনাবাহিনী। অভ্যুত্থানের বিরুদ্ধে রাজপথে জোরালো প্রতিবাদ গড়ে উঠলে নির্মম বল প্রয়োগ করে সেনা সরকার। দেশটিতে এখন পর্যন্ত প্রায় সাড়ে আট শতাধিক বিক্ষোভকারীর নিহত হয়েছে। রাজপথে বিক্ষোভ কিছুটা প্রশমিত হয়ে এলেও সেনা সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে সশস্ত্র প্রতিরোধের প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছে দেশটির বহু গোষ্ঠী। তবে সামরিক বিমানটি কোনো গোষ্ঠীর হামলায় ধ্বংস হয়েছে কি না তা এখনও নিশ্চিত নয়।
