সিরিয়ার হামস প্রদেশে ইসরায়েলের বিমান হামলায় ৫ সেনাসহ ৮ জন নিহত হয়েছেন বলে জানিয়েছে সিরিয়ার মানবাধিকার সংস্থা।
মঙ্গলবার মধ্যরাতে ইসরায়েলি বিমান বাহিনী তুরস্কের উত্তর সীমান্তে সিরিয়ার এই প্রদেশটিতে হামলা চালালে এই হতাহতের ঘটনা ঘটে।
সিরিয়ান অবজারভেটরি ফর হিউম্যান রাইটসের প্রধান রামি আবদুল রহমান এএফপিকে জানিয়েছেন, মঙ্গলবার মধ্যরাতের বিমান হামলায় কমপক্ষে ৫ সেনা এবং ৩ বেসামরিক লোক নিহত হয়েছেন।
ইহুদিবাদী ইসরায়েল এর আগে যেসব ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র হামলা চালিয়েছে তার বেশিরভাগই সিরিয়ার বিমান প্রতিরক্ষা ব্যবস্থা প্রতিহত করেছে। ইসরাইল সিরিয়ার রাজধানী দামেস্কের দক্ষিণাঞ্চলে ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র হামলা চালায় তবে সিরিয়ায় ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র প্রতিরক্ষা ব্যবস্থা দিয়ে সেসব ক্ষেপণাস্ত্রের বেশিরভাগই ভূপাতিত করা হয়।
ইসরায়েল গত কয়েক বছর ধরে প্রায় নিয়মিতভাবে সিরিয়ার ওপর বিমান ও ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র আগ্রাসন চালিয়ে আসছে। উগ্র সন্ত্রাসী গোষ্ঠী দায়েশের চূড়ান্ত পতন মেনে নিতে পারছে না তেলআবিব। ফলে সন্ত্রাসীদের মনোবল চাঙ্গা রাখার জন্য এসব হামলা চালাচ্ছে।
