রাজধানীর মুগদা জেনারেল হাসপাতালের ১১ তলা ভবনের ছাদ থেকে লাফিয়ে পড়ে করোনাভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত এক ব্যক্তি আত্মহত্যা করেছেন। তার নাম হাসিব ইকবাল হক মনি। শুক্রবার রাতে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। মারা যাওয়ার আগে তিনি একটি চিরকুট লিখে রাখেন।
মুগদা থানার উপপরিদর্শক (এসআই) মো. শরিফুল ইসলাম জানান, শুক্রবার (১৬ এপ্রিল) রাত সাড়ে ১০টার দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। মুগদা থানার পুলিশের উপ-পরিদর্শক ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে জানান, মৃত মনি করোনায় আক্রান্ত হয়ে মুগদা হাসপাতালের ১১ তলায় একটি কেবিনে ভর্তি ছিলেন। আমরা ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে প্রাথমিকভাবে জানতে পেরেছি ওই কবিনে একটি চিরকুট লিখে শুক্রবার রাত ১২ টার ৫০ মিনিটে ১১ তলা থেকে তিনি লাফিয়ে পড়েন। আইনি প্রক্রিয়া শেষে তার মরদেহ ময়না তদন্তের জন্য ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের মর্গে পাঠানো হয়েছে। ময়নাতদন্তের প্রতিবেদন পেলে বিস্তারিত জানা যাবে।
মৃত হাসিব ইকবাল হক মনির বাবার নাম মৃত ইমদাদুল হক। তিনি রাজধানীর নিউ ইস্কাটনের ৪৫/ বি /২ নম্বর বাড়িতে থাকতেন।
