করোনাভাইরাসের নতুন কেন্দ্র হয়ে উঠেছে ভারত। প্রতিদিনই আক্রান্ত ও মৃত্যুর সংখ্যায় রেকর্ড গড়ছে। এমন অবস্থার মধ্যে দিল্লিতে সাত দিনের কারফিউ ঘোষণা করেছে স্থানীয় প্রশাসন। শনিবার থেকে এই কারফিউ শুরু হয়েছে।
শুক্রবার দিল্লিতে ২৪ ঘণ্টায় ১৪১ কোভিড রোগীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। করোনা ভয়াবহ রূপ নেয়ায় কারফিউয়ের সিদ্ধান্ত নেন দিল্লির মুখ্যমন্ত্রী অরবিন্দ কেজরিওয়াল ও লেফটেন্যান্ট গভর্নর অনিল বাউজাল।
কারফিউ বিধিনিষেধে বলা হয়েছে, অত্যাবশ্যকীয় কাজকর্ম চলবে। বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠানেরও আয়োজন করা যাবে, তবে লাগবে কারফিউ পাস। বন্ধ থাকবে শপিংমল, জিম, প্রেক্ষাগৃহ। রেস্তোরাঁগুলোও বন্ধ থাকছে। অনলাইন অর্ডারে হোম ডেলিভারি চলছে। বাজারও করা যাবে, তবে থাকবে নিয়ন্ত্রণ।
কেজরিওয়াল জানিয়েছেন, জনগণের জন্যই এই নিয়ন্ত্রণ জারি করা হচ্ছে। করোনার শৃঙ্খল ভাঙার জন্য এই নিয়ন্ত্রণের একান্তই প্রয়োজন। সেই কারণেই এপ্রিলের ১৭ তারিখ থেকে এই কারফিউ জারি করা হয়েছে।
