ইউক্রেনের প্রেসিডেন্ট ভলোদিমির জেলেনস্কি আরব লীগের বার্ষিক সম্মেলনে যোগ দিতে শুক্রবার সৌদি আরবে আকস্মিক সফর করেছেন।
ইভেন্টে বক্তৃতা করার সময় জেলেনস্কি তার ট্রেডমার্ক সবুজ সামরিক-অনুপ্রাণিত পোশাকে, শ্রোতাদের বলেন, তিনি আশা করেছিলেন উপস্থিত বেশিরভাগই শান্তি ও ন্যায়বিচারের জন্য এখানে আছেন। খবর আল-জাজিরার।
তিনি বলেন, ‘আমাদের শত্রুর মতো ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র আমাদের কাছে নেই। আমাদের বায়ু শক্তি কম; আমাদের কাছে অনেক ঘাতক ড্রোন নেই যা ইরান রাশিয়াকে সরবরাহ করে। আমাদের কাছে এত আর্টিলারি নেই, তবে আমরা শক্তিশালী রয়েছি কারণ আমাদের পক্ষে সত্য রয়েছে।’
জেলনস্কি আরও বলেন, ইউক্রেনীয় মুসলিম সম্প্রদায়সহ আমাদের জনগণকে রক্ষা করার জন্য আপনাদের সকলের কাছে একটি মহৎ আহ্বান রেখে যেতে চাই।
ক্রিমিয়ান তাতার সম্প্রদায়ের নেতা, ক্রিমিয়ান উপদ্বীপের আদিবাসী সুন্নি মুসলিমদের একটি তুর্কি গোষ্ঠীর নেতা মুস্তাফা ঢেমিলেভও সেখানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
জেলেনস্কি আরব বিশ্বের সঙ্গে ইউক্রেনের অর্থনৈতিক ও শিক্ষাগত সম্পর্কের গুরুত্বও তুলে ধরেন।
