মসজদীদে নববী এবং মহানবী (সা.) এর রওজা মোবারক দেখাশোনাকারী সবচেয়ে বয়স্ক অভিভাবক আগা হাবীব মুহাম্মাদ আল-আফারি ইন্তেকাল করেছেন। সৌদি কর্তৃপক্ষ তার মৃত্যুর সংবাদ ঘোষণা করেছে। খবর গাল্ফ টুডের।
সৌদি কর্তৃপক্ষ জানিয়েছে, আল-আফারি বেশ কিছুদিন ধরে অসুস্থ ছিলেন। গত ৪০ বছর ধরে তিনি মহানবীর রওজা মোবারক দেখাশোনা করে আসছিলেন।
টুইটারে মসজিদ কর্তৃপক্ষ জানিয়েছে, ‘আগা হাবীব মুহাম্মাদ আল-আফারি, মসজিদে নববীর প্রাচীনতম অভিভাবকদের একজন, যাকে আল্লাহ আমাদের নবী মুহাম্মদ (সা.)-এর কক্ষের সেবা করার জন্য নির্বাচিত করেছিলেন। তিনি বুধবার মারা গেছেন।’
মাগরিবের নামাজের পর মদিনার মসজিদে নববীতে তার জানাজা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
কক্ষটি সেই জায়গা যেখানে
হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ)-এর রওজা মোবারকের পাশে আবু বকর (রাঃ) এবং উমর (রাঃ) এর রওজাও রয়েছে। কক্ষটি মসজিদে আন-নববীর সবুজ গম্বুজের নিচে অবস্থিত।
মক্কার মসজিদুল হারামের পর মসজিদটি বিশ্বের দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম মসজিদ।
