বন্যার কারণে পিছিয়ে দেয়া এবারের এসএসসি ও সমমানের পরীক্ষা শুরুর তারিখ জানাতে বিশেষ সংবাদ সম্মেলন ডেকেছেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী ডা. দীপু মনি। রবিবার দুপুর ১টায় এ সংবাদ সম্মেলন হবে।
বৃহস্পতিবার শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের তথ্য ও জনসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা মোহাম্মদ আবুল খায়ের গণমাধ্যমকে এ তথ্য জানান।
গত ১৯ জুন এবারের এসএসসি ও সমমানের লিখিত পরীক্ষা শুরু হওয়ার কথা ছিল। কিন্তু জুনের মাঝামাঝি সময়ে দেশে প্রবল বর্ষণ আর উজানের ঢলে সিলেট অঞ্চল এবং উত্তরের কয়েকটি জেলায় ভয়াবহ বন্যা দেখা দেয়। ফলে ১৭ জুন এসএসসি পরীক্ষা স্থগিতের ঘোষণা দেয় সরকার।
এবার সারা দেশে এসএসসি ও সমমানের পরীক্ষায় ২০ লাখের বেশি শিক্ষার্থীর অংশগ্রহণের কথা রয়েছে।
