ভারতের কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রিসভায় ব্যাপক রদবদল আনতে যাচ্ছেন দেশটির প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি। বুধবার সন্ধ্যায় নতুন মন্ত্রীদের নাম ঘোষণা করা হবে। তবে, তার আগে দেশটির কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্য ও শিক্ষামন্ত্রীসহ ১২ জন মন্ত্রী পদত্যাগ করেছেন। সূত্র, এনডিটিভি।
এদিন প্রথম পদত্যাগ করেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী রমেশ পোখরিয়াল ও শ্রমমন্ত্রী সন্তোষ গ্যাংওয়ার। পদত্যাগকারীদের মধ্যে স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের মন্ত্রী হর্ষ বর্ধন ও প্রতিমন্ত্রী আশ্বিনি চাউবে। পদত্যাগ করেছেন শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের মন্ত্রী রমেশ পোখরিয়াল নিশাঙ্কও।
গত বছর জানুয়ারি থেকে থাবা বসিয়েছে করোনা। এরপর ক্রমেই বেড়েছে সংক্রমণ। প্রথম ঢেউ শেষ হতে না হতে আছড়ে পড়েছে দ্বিতীয় ঢেউ। তাতে সংক্রমণ চার লাখের গণ্ডি পেরিয়েছে। সম্প্রতি করোনার দ্বিতীয় ঢেউয়ে ভারতের শোচনীয় পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হয়।
এসব নিয়ে বারবার আঙুল উঠেছে মোদি সরকারের দিকে। অভিযোগ, কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয় পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারেনি বলেই এই অবস্থা। প্রশ্ন উঠছে কেন্দ্রের টিকাকরণ নীতি নিয়েও। সেজন্যও তুমুল সমালোচিত হয়েছেন কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী হর্ষ বর্ধন।
এই পরিস্থিতিতে হর্ষ বর্ধনের ইস্তফা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়। মনে করা হচ্ছে, সমালোচকদের মুখ বন্ধ করতেই এই সিদ্ধান্ত নিল মোদি সরকার। এভাবে আসলে অভিযোগের ক্ষতে প্রলেপ দিতে চাইছে। কারণ তাদের আসল লক্ষ্য, ২০২৪ সালের লোকসভা নির্বাচন।
