আসন্ন পবিত্র ঈদুল আজহা এবং করোনা পরিস্থিতি বিবেচনায় নিয়ে ভোজ্যতেলের দাম লিটারে চার টাকা কমিয়েছে ভোজ্যতেল পরিশোধন ও বিপণনকারীদের সংগঠন বাংলাদেশ ভেজিটেবল অয়েল রিফাইনার্স অ্যান্ড বনস্পতি ম্যানুফ্যাকচারার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশন।
কয়েক দফা বাড়ার পর বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের অনুরোধে এই দাম কমাল সংগঠনটি। আগামীকাল বৃহস্পতিবার থেকে নতুন দামে ভোজ্য তেল বিক্রি হবে।
বুধবার সংগঠনের সচিব মো. নূরুল ইসলাম মোল্লার স্বাক্ষরিত এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়, বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয় এবং বাংলাদেশ ট্রেড অ্যান্ড ট্যারিফ কমিশনের সঙ্গে আলোচনাসাপেক্ষে পবিত্র ঈদুল আজহা, করোনাভাইরাস পরিস্থিতি ও ভোক্তার ক্রয়ক্ষমতা বিবেচনা করে সয়াবিন, পাম ও অন্যান্য ভোজ্যতেলের দাম ১ জুলাই থেকে লিটারে চার টাকা কমানো হয়েছে।
নতুন মূল্য অনুযায়ী, বোতলজাত এক লিটার সয়াবিন তেলের দাম পড়বে ১৪৯ টাকা আর খোলা এক লিটার সয়াবিন তেলের দাম পড়বে ১২৫ টাকা। এছাড়া পাঁচ লিটারের বোতলজাত তেলের দাম পড়বে ৭১২ টাকা এবং খোলা পাম সুপার এক লিটার তেলের দাম পড়বে ১০৮ টাকা।
এ প্রসঙ্গে সিটি গ্রুপের পরিচালক বিশ্বজিৎ সাহা বলেন, বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের অনুরোধক্রমে তেলের মূল্য লিটারে চার টাকা কমানোর সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয়েছে। আগামীকাল ১ জুলাই থেকে নতুন এ দাম কার্যকর হবে।
