করোনার প্রকোপ বেড়ে যাওয়ায় ঢাকা বিভাগের সাত জেলায় কঠোর বিধিনিষেধ ঘোষণার কারণে আগামীকাল মঙ্গলবার সকাল থেকে ৩০ জুন পর্যন্ত নয় দিন ঢাকার সঙ্গে দূরপাল্লার বাস যোগাযোগ বন্ধ রাখার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে মালিক সমিতি।
সোমবার রাতে ঢাকা সড়ক পরিবহন মালিক সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক খন্দকার এনায়েত উল্লাহ এই তথ্য জানিয়েছেন।
এনায়েত উল্লাহ বলেন, ‘এই সময়ে দূরপাল্লার কোনো বাস ঢাকায় ঢুকবে না, বেরও হবে না।’ মন্ত্রিপরিষদ বিভাগের প্রজ্ঞাপনের আলোকে এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয়েছে বলেও জানান এই পরিবহন নেতা।
করোনাভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ দ্রুত বেড়ে যাওয়ায় ২২ জুন মঙ্গলবার থেকে আগামী ৩০ জুন পর্যন্ত ঢাকার পাশের সাতটি জেলায় কঠোর বিধিনিষেধ জারি করেছে সরকার। এর আগে সোমবার সচিবালয়ে সরকারের শীর্ষ পর্যায়ের এক বৈঠকে মানিকগঞ্জ, নারায়ণগঞ্জ, গোপালগঞ্জ, গাজীপুর, রাজবাড়ী, মাদারীপুর ও মুন্সীগঞ্জে বিধিনিষেধ আরোপের সিদ্ধান্ত হয়।
এনায়েত উল্লাহ খান বলেন, যে সাতটি জেলা লকডাউনের আওতায় আনা হয়েছে তার যেকোনো একটিকে এড়িয়ে ঢাকা শহরের বাস প্রবেশ করা সম্ভব না। সেজন্য সরকারি নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী ২২ জুন থেকে ৩০ জুন পর্যন্ত ঢাকাগামী দূরপাল্লার বাস চলাচল বন্ধ থাকবে।
