শিক্ষা আইনের খসড়া চূড়ান্ত হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী ডা. দীপু মনি। আইনটি শিগগিরই মন্ত্রিসভায় উঠবে বলে জানিয়েছেন তিনি।
বুধবার ‘চাইল্ড পার্লামেন্ট সেশন-২০২১’ অনুষ্ঠানে অনলাইনে অংশ নিয়ে প্রধান অতিথির বক্তৃতায় মন্ত্রী এ কথা বলেন।
শিক্ষামন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘দীর্ঘদিন ধরে আমরা শিক্ষা আইন করার চেষ্টা করছি। সেই শিক্ষা আইনের খসড়াটি করোনাকালেই চূড়ান্ত করেছি। এখন মন্ত্রিপরিষদের যাবে।’
মন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘এরপর আরও কয়েকটি প্রক্রিয়া আছে সেগুলো সম্পন্ন করে পার্লামেন্টে যাবে। সংসদে পাস হয়ে গেলে আমরা আইনটি বাস্তবায়ন করতে পারবো।’
চাইল্ড পার্লামেন্টে অনলাইন শিক্ষাসহ শিক্ষায় বাংলাদেশের নেয়া পদক্ষেপের বিভিন্ন তথ্য উঠে আসে। চাইল্ড পার্লামেন্টে বিভিন্ন প্রস্তাবনা ও সমস্যা সমাধানের বিষয় তুলে ধরেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী।
চাইল্ড পার্লামেন্টে অংশ নেয়া শিক্ষার্থীদের উদ্দেশে শিক্ষামন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘অন্যের জরিপ নয় নিজেদের জরিপ করে প্রকৃত অবস্থা তুলে ধরতে হবে। এছাড়া সমস্যা সমাধানের জন্যও সুপারিশ করতে হবে।’
অনুষ্ঠানে মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চশিক্ষা অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিচালক অধ্যাপক ড. সৈয়দ মো. গোলাম ফারুক চাইল্ড পার্লামেন্টে উত্থাপিত বিভিন্ন প্রশ্নের জবাব দেন।
