বৈশ্বিক মহামারি করোনাভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হয়ে বিশ্বে মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা সাড়ে ২৯ লাখ ছাড়িয়েছে। বিশ্বে করোনা থেকে সেরে উঠেছেন ১১ কোটির বেশি মানুষ। গত একদিনে মৃত্যু হয়েছে ৮ হাজার ৭৬১ জনের। একই সময়ে নতুন করে আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন ৫ লাখ ৮৮ হাজার ২৭১ জন।
ওয়ার্ল্ডোমিটারের তথ্য অনুযায়ী, মঙ্গলবার সকাল পর্যন্ত করোনায় মারা গেছেন ২৯ লাখ ৫৮ হাজার ৬২৯ জন। আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন ১৩ কোটি ৭২ লাখ ৫২ হাজার ৬২১ জন।
আক্রান্তদের মধ্যে সুস্থ হয়েছে ১১ কোটি ৪ লাখ ৩৩ হাজার ১৬৩ জন এবং বর্তমানে আক্রান্ত অবস্থায় রয়েছে দুই কোটি ৩৮ লাখ ৬০ হাজার ৮২৯ জন।
বিশ্বে করোনায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত দেশের তালিকায় সবার ওপরে রয়েছে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র। সে দেশে এখন পর্যন্ত করোনাভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হিসেবে শনাক্ত হয়েছে ৩ কোটি ১৯ লাখ ৯০ হাজার ১৪৩ জন এবং মারা গেছে পাঁচ লাখ ৭৬ হাজার ২৯৮ জন ।
বিশ্বে করোনায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত দেশের তালিকায় যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের পর যথাক্রমে রয়েছে- ব্রাজিল, ভারত, ফ্রান্স, রাশিয়া, ব্রিটেন, ইতালি, তুরস্ক, স্পেন ও জার্মানি।
ব্রাজিলে আক্রান্ত হয়েছে এক কোটি ৩৫ লাখ ২১ হাজার ৪০৯ জন এবং মারা গেছে তিন লাখ ৫৫ হাজার ৩১ জন। ভারতে মোট আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা এক কোটি ৩৬ লাখ ৮৬ হাজার ৭৩ জন এবং মারা গেছে এক লাখ ৭১ হাজার ৮৯ জন।
বাংলাদেশেও করোনার প্রকোপ ক্রমেই বাড়ছে। সংক্রমণ ঠেকাতে থেকে সাতদিনের লকডাউন ঘোষণা করেছে সরকার। বুধবার থেকে দেশজুড়ে চলবে সর্বাত্মক লকডাউন।
