প্রাণঘাতী করোনাভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ পরিস্থিতি ক্রমাগত অবনতি হওয়ায় ১৪ এপ্রিল থেকে দেশে ‘সর্বাত্মক লকডাউন’ ঘোষণা করেছে সরকার।কঠোর এই লকডাউনের মধ্যে কোনো আন্তর্জাতিক ফ্লাইট চলাচল করবে না।একইসঙ্গে অভ্যন্তরীণ সব রুটে ফ্লাইট পরিচালনা বন্ধ থাকবে।
বেসামরিক বিমান চলাচল কর্তৃপক্ষের (বেবিচক) বৈঠকে এ সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়।
বেবিচক চেয়ারম্যান এয়ার ভাইস মার্শাল মো. মফিদুর বলেন, আগামী ১৪ এপ্রিল থেকে ২০ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত কঠোর লকডাউন চলবে। এই সময়ে আন্তর্জাতিক ও অভ্যন্তরীণ সব রুটের ফ্লাইট চলাচল বন্ধ থাকবে।
তবে এই সময়ে কার্গো ফ্লাইট, চার্টার ফ্লাইট চলবে বলে জানান বেবিচক চেয়ারম্যান। এ ছাড়া কেউ বিদেশে চিকিৎসার জন্য যেতে চাইলে বিশেষ ফ্লাইটে যেতে পারবেন বলেও জানান তিনি।
করোনাভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ বাড়ায় সরকার সারা দেশে এক সপ্তাহের কঠোর বিধিনিষেধ জারি করে গত ৪ এপ্রিল। গত সোমবার সকাল ৬টা থেকে ‘লকডাউন’ শুরু হয়। এক সপ্তাহের ঢিলেঢালা ‘লকডাউন’ শেষ হয় রোববার দিবাগত রাত ১১টায়।তবে ১৪ এপ্রিলের আগের দুই দিন একই বিধিনিষেধ চলমান থাকবে।
গেল রোববার আগামী ১৪ এপ্রিল থেকে এক সপ্তাহের জন্য সারা দেশে সর্বাত্মক লকডাউন ঘোষণা করেন সড়ক পরিবহন ও সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের। সেতুমন্ত্রী বলেন, দেশে চলমান এক সপ্তাহের ‘লকডাউন’ রোববার রাত ১১টায় শেষ হচ্ছে। তবে আগামীকাল সোমবার ও পরদিন মঙ্গলবারও এর ধারাবাহিকতা চলবে। আগামী ১৪ এপ্রিল থেকে শুরু হবে অপেক্ষাকৃত কঠোর ও সর্বাত্মক লকডাউন।
