যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের টেক্সাসে একইসঙ্গে দুর্ঘটনার কবলে পড়েছে ৭০টি গাড়ি। ভয়াবহ এই দুর্ঘটনায় নিহত হয়েছেন অন্তত ১০ জন। আহত হয়েছেন বেশ কয়েকজন।
স্থানীয় সময় বৃহস্পতিবার টেক্সাস অঙ্গরাজ্যের ফোর্টওর্থ এলাকায় এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে।
জানা যায়, ফোর্টওর্থ এলাকার মহাসড়কে প্রথমে ফেডএক্স-এর দুটি লরি উল্টে যায়। এরপর পেছন থেকে একের পর এক গাড়িটির পেছনে ধাক্কা খায় আরও ৭০টির মতো গাড়ি। ভয়াবহ এই দুর্ঘটনায় অনেক গাড়ি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে। রাস্তার পাশে কয়েকটি গাড়িতে উল্টে থাকতে দেখা গেছে। খবর পেয়ে হতাহতের উদ্ধারে অভিযান চালায় ফায়ার সার্ভিস ও আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনী।
এখন পর্যন্ত দুর্ঘটনায় মোট পাঁচজনের মৃত্যুর খবর পাওয়া গেছে। আহত হয়েছেন অন্তত ১০ জন। বৈরি আবহাওয়ার কারণে এ দুর্ঘটনা বলে স্থানীয় কর্তৃপক্ষের ধারণা।
