করোনাভাইরাস মহামারি পরিস্থিতিতে আগামীকাল সোমবার ও পরদিন মঙ্গলবার তফসিলি ব্যাংকগুলোর লেনদেন সময় আধাঘণ্টা বাড়ানো হয়েছে। নতুন সময়সূচি অনুযায়ী, সকাল ১০টা থেকে দুপুর ১টা পর্যন্ত গ্রাহক লেনদেন করতে পারবেন। আর ব্যাংক খোলা থাকবে বিকাল ৩টা পর্যন্ত।
রবিবার (১১ এপ্রিল) বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের ডিপার্টমেন্ট অব অফ-সাইট সুপারভিশনের মহাব্যবস্থাপক মো. আনোয়ারুল ইসলাম স্বাক্ষরিত এ সংক্রান্ত একটি প্রজ্ঞাপন ব্যাংকগুলোর প্রধান নির্বাহীদের কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
ব্যাংক কোম্পানি আইন, ১৯৯১ এর ৪৫ ধারায় প্রদত্ত ক্ষমতাবলে এ নির্দেশনা জারি করেছে কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংক।
করোনাভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ রোধে সরকারঘোষিত বিধিনিষেধের মধ্যে ৫ এপ্রিল থেকে তফসিলি ব্যাংকগুলো সীমিত আকারে কার্যক্রম চালু রাখে। এতদিন সকাল ১০টা থেকে বেলা সাড়ে ১২টা পর্যন্ত গ্রাহক লেনদেন করে। আর ব্যাংক খোলা ছিল দুপুর ২টা পর্যন্ত।
