জাতীয় নাগরিক পার্টির (এনসিপি) আহ্বায়ক ও বিরোধী দলীয় চিফ হুইপ নাহিদ ইসলাম বলেছেন, আমরা অবিলম্বে সংবিধান সংস্কার পরিষদ গঠনের দাবি জানাই, যা আমাদের জুলাই সনদে স্পষ্টভাবে উল্লেখ আছে। জুলাই সনদের আলোকে সংবিধান সংস্কারে উদ্যোগ গ্রহণের জন্য সরকারের প্রতি আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি।
বৃহস্পতিবার (৫ মার্চ) সন্ধ্যায় রাজধানীর একটি হোটেলে এনসিপির প্রতিষ্ঠাবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষ্যে বিদেশি কূটনীতিকদের সম্মানে আয়োজিত এক ইফতার মাহফিলে তিনি এ অভিযোগ করেন।
বিদেশি কূটনীতিকদের উদ্দেশ্য করে নাহিদ ইসলাম বলেন, বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক এবং দুদকের মতো বড় বড় প্রতিষ্ঠানকে সুকৌশলে দলীয়করণ করা হচ্ছে, যা একটি গণতান্ত্রিক রাষ্ট্রের জন্য অশনিসংকেত।
তিনি অভিযোগ করেন, জুলাই সনদ অনুযায়ী রাষ্ট্রের সংস্কার প্রক্রিয়ায় যে গতি থাকার কথা ছিল, তা ব্যাহত হচ্ছে।
এ সময় তিনি জুলাই সনদের প্রতিশ্রুতি বাস্তবায়নে দ্রুত ‘সংবিধান সংস্কার পরিষদ’ গঠন করার জোর দাবি জানান।
