করোনাভাইরাসের পূর্ণ ডোজ টিকা নিলে বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের মুসলিমরা ওমরাহ পালন করতে পারবেন বলে জানিয়ে সৌদির সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষ। তবে টিকা ছাড়া কাউকে ওমরাহ পালনের অনুমতি দেয়া হবে না।
সোমবার (৯আগস্ট) থেকে ওমরাহর আবেদন গ্রহণ করবে সৌদি। স্থানীয় সংবাদমাধ্যমের বরাত দিয়ে এখবর দিয়েছে আল জাজিরা।
এর আগে ১৮ মাস আগে মহামারি নিয়ন্ত্রণে বিদেশি মুসল্লিদের জন্য সীমান্ত বন্ধ করে দিয়েছিল সৌদি আরব। দেশটির সংবাদ সংস্থা এসপিএ জানিয়েছে, মুসল্লিদের সমন্বয় করা মন্ত্রণালয়ের কর্তৃপক্ষ বিভিন্ন দেশের নাগরিকদের কাছ থেকে আবেদন গ্রহণ করা শুরু করে দিয়েছে।
প্রাথমিকভাবে প্রতি মাসে ৬০ হাজার মুসল্লিকে ওমরাহ করতে অনুমোদন দেওয়া হবে। পরবর্তীতে ধীরে ধীরে তা বাড়িয়ে ২০ লাখ করা হবে।
বিদেশিদের ওমরাহের অনুরোধের পাশাপাশি করোনার টিকার সনদও জমা দিতে হবে। তবে সৌদি ভ্রমণে নিষেধাজ্ঞায় থাকা দেশগুলোর নাগরিকদের টিকা নেওয়ার পরেও প্রাথমিক কোয়ারেন্টাইনে থাকতে হবে।
