২০১৪ সালে ক্রিকেট মাঠে ফিলিপ হিউজের মৃত্যুর ঘটনার পর আবার ২২ গজের ক্রিজে শেষ নিঃশ্বাস করলেন আরেক ক্রিকেটার। ভারতের পুণেতে স্থানীয় একটি ম্যাচ চলাকালে খেলতে খেলতেই হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে মৃত্যুবরণ করলেন এক ক্রিকেটার। সেই ক্রিকেটারের নাম বাবু নালওয়াড়ে।
একটি টুর্নামেন্টের আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল মহারাষ্ট্রের পুণের জুন্নার তেহসিলের যাদবওয়াড়ি গ্রামে। যেখানে এই মর্মান্তিক ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে।
খেলা চলাকালীনই হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হন ৪৭ বছর বয়সি বাবু। সে সময় তিনি নন-স্ট্রাইকিং এন্ডে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিলেন। আচমকাই হঠাৎ করে মাটিতে লুটিয়ে পড়েন বাবু নালওয়াড়ে। পরে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হলে চিকিৎসকরা তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।
এরইমধ্যে এই ঘটনার ভিডিওটি সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় ভাইরাল হয়েছে। অনেকেই ওই ক্রিকেটারের মৃত্যুতে শোক প্রকাশ করেছেন।
