ডেস্ক রিপোর্ট : বৃহস্পতিবার ঢাকার জাতীয় ক্যান্সার গবেষণা ইনস্টিটিউট ও হাসপাতালে এক অনুষ্ঠানে স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী জাহিদ মালেক জানান, সরকারের মন্ত্রী এবং সংসদ সদস্যদের টিকা দেওয়ার জন্য মহাখালীর শেখ রাসেল জাতীয় গ্যাস্ট্রোলিভার ইনস্টিটিউট ও হাসপাতালকে নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে।
মন্ত্রী বলেন, যারা কোর্টের লোকজন, তারা যেন বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে টিকা দিতে পারেন। আবার সচিবরা আছেন, মন্ত্রণালয়ের কর্মকর্তারা আছেন সেটাও ভাগ করে দেওয়া আছে। যাতে সুষ্ঠুভাবে টিকাদান কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হয়, ভিড় না হয়।
এদিকে একটি নির্ভরযোগ্য সূত্র জানায়, শনিবার স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী জাহিদ মালেক, দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা ও ত্রাণ প্রতিমন্ত্রী ডা. মো. এনামুর রহমান, স্বাস্থ্যের ডিজি অধ্যাপক ডা. এবিএম খুরশীদ আলমসহ আরো অনেকে শেখ রাসেল জাতীয় গ্যাস্ট্রোলিভার হাসপাতালে টিকা নিবেন।
বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা নেতৃত্বাধীন আন্তর্জাতিক প্ল্যাটফর্ম কোভ্যাক্সের আওতায় বাংলাদেশ যে টিকা পাবে, তার প্রথম চালান আগামী এপ্রিল-মে মাসের মধ্যে পৌঁছাতে পারে বলে জানান স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী। তিনি বলেন, কোভেক্স থেকে ছয় কোটি ডোজের বেশি টিকা পাওয়া যাবে। আমরা সারা বছর জুড়েই টিকা পাব এবং দিতে থাকব।
মন্ত্রী আরো বলেন, ৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি সারাদেশে টিকাদান কার্যক্রম উদ্বোধন হবে। ঢাকায় প্রায় ৩০০টি স্থান থেকে টিকা দেওয়া হবে। আগে নিবন্ধন একটু স্লো থাকলেও এখন তা বাড়ছে।
