আন্তর্জাতিক ডেস্ক : আর মাত্র এক সপ্তাহ পর করোনার টিকা দেয়া শুরু করবে ভারত। এর আগেই বড় ঝামেলায় পড়েছে দেশটির করোনার ভ্যাকসিন। আগামী ১৬ জানুয়ারি করোনার টিকা দেয়া শুরু হবে ভারতে।
ভ্যাকসিন ট্রায়ালের টিকা নিয়ে মারা গেছেন এক ভারতীয়। ভারতীয় গণমাধ্যম ‘ইন্ডিয়ান এক্সপ্রেস’ জানিয়েছে, নিহত ঐ ব্যক্তির নাম দীপক মারয়াই (৪২)। কোভিড-১৯ ভ্যাকসিনের তৃতীয় দফার ট্রায়ালে অংশ নেয়ার ১০ দিন পর মৃত্যু হয়েছে ঐ স্বেচ্ছাসেবকের।
একই গণমাধ্যমের প্রতিবেদনানুযায়ী, ময়নাতদন্তের প্রাথমিক রিপোর্টে জানা গিয়েছে, দীপক মারয়াই নামের ভুপালের ঐ স্বেচ্ছাসেবকের মৃত্যু হয়েছে বিষক্রিয়ায়।
এ ঘটনায় প্রতিক্রিয়া জানিয়েছে করোনা ভ্যাকসিন প্রস্তুতকারক সংস্থা ভারত বায়োটেক। এক বিবৃতিতে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি জানিয়েছে, ভুপালের ওই ব্যক্তির মৃত্যু হয়েছে কার্ডিও রেসপিরেটরি ফেলিওরে। এর কারণ বিষক্রিয়া।
গত ১২ ডিসেম্বর ভ্যাকসিন নেন দীপক। ১৭ ডিসেম্বর তিনি অসুস্থবোধ করেন ও ২১ ডিসেম্বর তার মৃত্যু হয়।
